Scope of Responsibility: The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities, develop and implement solutions, and monitor and analyze process performance metrics to ensure continued success. The Manufacturing Engineer will also provide technical support to production teams, including troubleshooting and problem-solving to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Essential Duties:
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions.
- Analyze and interpret data to monitor and improve process performance metrics.
- Provide technical support to production teams, including troubleshooting and problem-solving to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to read, write and speak fluent English.
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software applications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on manufacturing process preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge and implementation preferred.
- Welding of steel structures preferred.
- Engineered to order manufacturing processes preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to manipulate tools or equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
