Work Schedule:
Work week is typically five day week days of hospital rounds with dialysis rounds two days per week; provider performs hospital rounds first thing in the morning and again at conclusion of clinic patients with assistance of APP. Rounds begin at 7 a.m. on the inpatient unit followed by dialysis rounds. Following rounds, it is anticipated the APP will assist the provider with clinic patients as needed.
· Clinic Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.o Expectation is that advanced practice provider would start seeing patients in the hospital by 7 a.m. daily. Dialysis rounds will follow, then join the physician in clinic to finish the afternoon with clinic and hospital patients.· On-Call schedule – APP’s rotate each month on call. Expectation of one weekend of first call per month with provider available for consultation in that rotation, so one weekend in three months. A total of 10 days of call per month is the maximum scheduled in coordination with the physician.
Patient Volume:
· Hospital consults – Daily volume of a minimum of one new consult and five to seven follow up consults per day.Clinic volume vaires based of when you finish inpatient rounds

Other additional pertinent information:
· Mix of inpatient and outpatient: 50 – 60% inpatient, 20 – 30% dialysis, 10 – 20% outpatient.
Equipment needs – In the clinic we have the equipment for point of care testing on urines, including microscopy. In addition, a bladder scanner is available for use in the clinic setting.
