Description:
Directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. Monitors and analyzes technology and trends that could improve the company’s products and performance. Establishes technology standards and communicates technical information to the organization. Leads hardware and software solution design efforts, including internal teams and subcontractors, as part of capture efforts and ongoing product and solution development. Leads efforts to craft technical value proposition statements and proposal technical approaches necessary to promote the organization and its offerings to key stakeholders. Manages relationships with key customers and stakeholders responsible for the organization’s most significant ongoing programs and serves as the primary point of contact for ongoing growth in these areas. Leverages knowledge of the technical state of the industry and the competitive landscape to inform capture strategies and guide development efforts to maintain/grow key market positions. Leads oral presentations to advocate for the organization and its offerings as part of the competitive award and capture processes.

- Leads cross-functional development and product support teams executing multiple high-profile efforts with significant customer, subcontractor, and industry partner management responsibilities
- Work with business leadership to develop multi-year technology and product roadmaps to ensure “one vision” for execution

- Manage technical facility leadership and engineering teams

- Partner with business stakeholders to manage infrastructure costs associated with annual operating plan delivery
- Ultimately responsible for the development, delivery, and support, at scale, of an ecosystem of technology and extended reality (XR) driven solutions on premises at DoD and industry locations across the U.S.
- Manages the integration of delivered on-premises technologies with cloud-based technologies offered by a consortium of other providers
- Leads the application of information system security DoD Authority to Operate process requirements at DoD training facilities, achieving several key first-in-industry outcomes
- Directly contributes to software and hardware development efforts in targeted areas (e.g., XR, emulated hardware, physics models) to address key capability or schedule challenges
- Implements and manages Agile development processes within the Advanced Technology business unit and works with IT staff to leverage the latest associated software tools
- Displays a high degree of collaboration with leadership and Business sectors and teams to provide the right level of agility within a defined delivery process

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Hours of work consistent with the executive level of the position are expected.
If not local - must be in either Huntsville or Orlando and willing to travel.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Advanced degree (Masters, Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent
- C, C++, C#
- MSVC, GNU toolchain, Git, SVN, LLVM (Mac OS/X & Android / Android NDK)
- Most major consumer and enterprise XR hardware and software elements
- Unreal & Unity game engines, multiple flight simulators, and DoD image generators/hosts
- Experience with DoD or commercial aviation contracts, Cyber security/RMF, and Proposal support/development preferred
- Experience with game engines, image generators, and/or flight simulation frameworks (e.g., Unreal, VBS, VRSH, NOR, MSFS, Prepar3D, or X-Plane a plus
- Active Secret Security Clearance preferred
- 15+ years of related experience

- Advanced degree (Masters, Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent
- Degrees in multiple technical subjects
