Summary
As the Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will perform tasks that involve maintaining and repairing industrial equipment such as thermal processing furnaces, industrial washers, and auxiliary/support equipment (cooling water systems, compressed air systems, forklifts and others). We are seeking a candidate with some industry experience however training is available.
Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
· Participate in daily team meetings.
· Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as required and assigned. (furnaces, washers, forklifts etc.)
· Perform recuring inspections of various equipment and the building. (quench oils, filters, belts, bulk gas systems, cooling towers, roof mounted equipment etc.)
· Utilize the facilities preventative maintenance program to document findings and actions taken.
· Clearly communicate with other team members and associates.
· Troubleshoot various mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems and devices.
· Be instrumental in organizing and maintaining critical spare parts inventory, tools, and equipment.
· Assist in equipment refurbishment and other projects as required.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Industrial Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
· Education – High school or equivalent (G.E.D) required. College or equivalent degree/certificate in industrial maintenance, electrical, mechanical or other industry trade is a plus.
· Ability to comply with company safety policies and procedures including LOTO, confined space entry, and working at heights.
· Ability to take direction and work both supervised and unsupervised.
· The ability to utilize tools such as grinders, welder/plasma cutter, drill press, multimeter, combustion analyzer, vacuum leak detector etc.
· Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
· Experienced with the use of a computer or tablet for computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook etc.
Valued Skills and Qualifications (preferred but not required)
· Heat Treatment industry specific skills and experience.
· C-Works Maintenance Management software
· Familiarity with ISO, IATF, NADCAP etc.
· Pyrometry – TUS, SAT, Calibrations.
· Fabrication skills.
· Process piping.
· Automotive maintenance and repair skills.
· Basic knowledge of electrical systems.
· PLC programming, ladder logic and controls.
· An understanding of analog/digital signaling.
· Schematic and blueprint interpretation.
Language Skills
Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical information and blueprints that are needed to perform maintenance, repairs, or installations. Ability to observe, receive and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources. Ability to communicate effectively with contractors, other maintenance personnel and management.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts for measuring distances or dimensions. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions, in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. At times, working at heights and within confined spaces is required.
