Civil Project Manager
Rapidly growing construction company in Baldwin County seeking a Project Manager to help with various active civil construction projects as well as many scheduled for the future. Job role will entail assisting with staffing requirements, generate logistical plans, and maintain a thorough knowledge of schedule preparation and execution. Candidate will be ultimately responsible and will be held accountable for the timely completion of projects and ensuring that projects are constructed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes.
Project Manager Responsibility
We are looking for a Civil Project Manager to lead, direct and coordinate the day- to-day management of multiple projects at one time. The Civil Project Manager will contribute to the achievement of all profit, time, quality and client satisfaction objectives on a project through excellent communication, efficiency and self-motivation. - Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion of the civil scope.
- Develop and maintain owner, designer, subcontractor, vendor and client relationships.
- Ability to communicate with municipalities to ensure all permitting/testing/inspection needs have been adequately captured and understood by the construction team.
- Identify the materials needed for multiple jobs, co-ordinate submittal/shop drawings, place orders and schedule deliveries to multiple locations.
- Visit prospective job sites during the preconstruction phase in order to source local fill/aggregate needs for the job.
- Update and communicate the project schedule to vertical Project Managers as needed.
- Ability to communicate information through verbal and written communication with all members of the construction process.
- Coordinate with Field Operations Director daily to ensure project labor and equipment needs are met.
- Provide updates and compile weekly update reports to client/owners.
- Travel to jobsites throughout the month.
- Ability to use critical thinking to problem solve any construction issues that arise during the course of the project.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Assist Pre-Construction team in building estimates, sourcing material quotes and transition from Pre-Construction to contract signing and construction in the field.
- Ensure the latest and current drawing plan sets are available to members of the civil team and in use in the field.
- Coordinate with various engineers on multiple projects to get CAD files and other items needed to produce GPS Machine Control model for field use.
- Understand the Schedule of Values documentation needed to adequately justify monthly Pay Apps and assist with monthly billings
