Minimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
As a remote speech-language pathologist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals of all ages with communication and swallowing disorders. You will serve diverse populations in rural and remote areas of New Mexico, where access to speech therapy services may be limited. Using a combination of tele practice and occasional on-site visits, you will deliver comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapy sessions to clients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote assessments and screenings to evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy services using tele practice platforms, ensuring effective communication and engagement with clients.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on communication strategies, exercises, and techniques to promote progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current license to practice speech-language pathology in New Mexico.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
- Proficiency in using tele practice platforms and technology for remote service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
