Summary:The Clinical Editor is responsible for writing and editing continuing education articles on best clinical practices for social workers. The ideal candidate will have experience leading CE programs for social workers, experience working in content development for CE programs, a strong writing and editing background, and clinical social work experience. The expected workload is 10 hours per week with support from the company’s in-house editorial staff. This is a contract position with monthly compensation.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to build a successful continuing education program for education social workers.
- May entail producing new content or recruiting others to produce content.
- Write and edit articles on best clinical practices for education social workers.
- Ensure that all articles are accurate, unbiased, and evidence-based.
- Work with authors to develop and refine article content.
- Review and approve final article drafts.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote continuing education programs.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in clinical social work and education.
- Create and review collateral content for these articles, including educational planning sheets, post-test multiple-choice questions, and
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a master's degree in social work or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical social work or psychotherapy
- 3+ years of experience leading CE programs for social workers.
- 3+ years of experience working in content development for CE programs.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development.
