The Legislative Coordinator has the following responsibilities:
Staff the Legislative Council, Interprofessional Council, Rx & Non-Rx w/Potential Abuse Committee
Produce the weekly Legislative Newsletter during session
Coordinate with the contracted lobbying firm
Oversee the First Aid Room and coordinate with the nurse employee
Market and coordinate the Physician of the Day
Organize the Physicians House Call days for all components and sections
Manage meeting schedule for Annapolis office
Manage the MMPAC to include fund raising, making deposits, writing checks, getting signatures, generating reports to the State, coordinating attendance at fundraisers
Track Legal and Practice Management questions
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Political Science, Legal Studies, or Business
Strong written and oral communications skills
Strong organizational skills
Efficient with Microsoft Office applications
Work evening and occasional weekend meetings
Compensation:
Full-time annual salary range is $45,000-$55,000, plus excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, HSA or flexible spending accounts with employer contribution, 401(k) plan with employer match and safe harbor, basic Life & LTD, paid leave, and free parking.
