Looking for someone excited to love and support preschool / pre-k aged Neurodiverse children specifically Autism Spectrum Disorder in a dynamic relationship / play based therapeutic school program. We train our teachers in DIR Floortime, mindfulness, sensory integration and social communication to name a few areas we focus on. Our mission is to understand a child's individual differences and support and accommodate them in all areas of the school day.
We would love people to apply who are EEC CERTIFIED. We encourage experience with special needs children and or have experience in Early Intervention and have a true love and passion for engaging and supporting children with challenges insocial engagement.
We are a small private school with a ratio of 6 kids to 2 teachers. Our teachers work in a co-teacher model. We have very low turnover, many lead teachers have been working at FUSE since it began. We provide extensive training, supervision and PD hours for all staff.
FUSE was started 10 years ago to allow children with social challenges an educational environment that was focused on social and emotional learning development. We utilize curriculums such as DIR Floortime, Zones of Regulation, Social Thinking and Mindfulness. To intentionally teach social and emotional development.
Teachers have time each day to plan and prep for the next day. Teachers are supervised weekly by the founder Lauren Weeks, a child psychologist. Each teacher team works closely with a speech therapist and an occupational therapist as well. www.fuseprogram.com
