Duties:
- Assess and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in children birth to three
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IFSP's) to address child and family's specific concerns and needs
- Provide hourly therapy sessions to improve speech, language, communication and feeding skills for the child and their family
- Conduct evaluations to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborate with other team members to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and/or feeding abilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid Illinois license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and neurology related to speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Ability to assess and provide therapy in the child's natural environment including their home, relative's home, daycare or in the community
- Strong patient care skills and ability to develop rapport with patients birth to three and their families
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills for case management and documentation purposes
Location: Hiring in all counties in Illinois.
Note: Feeding education and skills are not necessary. Home visiting and pediatric experience is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 2 – 40 per week
