Overview:
** This position is Hybrid: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote. Candidates must reside in CA.**
Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Quality Coordinator will directly support the performance improvement team in the quality department. The work can include, but is not limited to the following:
Performance Improvement Projects
- Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of lean six sigma methodology and can consistently apply these tools to project work
- Independently lead project teams and has the ability to focus on desired results
- Lead data collection, visualization and analytics using six sigma tools
- Independently manage and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to achieve project success
- Provides support and coaches team members for the PI Academy
- Maintains current knowledge of hospital data sources and systems that can be utilized to meet quality improvement and patient safety goals related to licensing and accreditation requirements
Project Management
- Minimal guidance in incorporation of project management tools and techniques into project work
- Independently manages hospital-wide projects related to quality, safety, and performance improvement
Change Management
- Knowledge of and incorporation of change management tools and techniques as appropriate
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience required; 7-10 preferred. Lean Six Sigma and Project Management experience. Experience in Quality Improvement required. Experience working with physicians and other health care professionals required. Experience with clinical, safety, and quality data, and cellular therapy product processing. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification or higher highly preferred. Hospital Experience (at least 5 years) highly preferred. Change Management Experience preferred.
Education/Licensure/Certification: Master’s degree in healthcare, business or related field required. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.
Pay Scale Information: CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
