Bakery Assistant
Duties:
- Assist in the preparation and production of bakery items such as pastries and cakes
- Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes
- Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Decorate and finish baked goods with icing, glazes, or toppings
- Package and label bakery products for display or sale
- Clean and sanitize work area and equipment
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of baking techniques and recipes is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality products are produced
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
