Above all what we are looking for is personality. This job requires constant engagement and outgoing energy to thrive. You'd be a perfect fit if you love talking to people while slanging some delicious sauce. Everything else is trainable.
Job responsibilities include:
- Driving the work van to and from markets
- Booth set up and break down (30 min simple set up)
- Cash handling and register counting
- Constant engagement with customers and sampling sauces (must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills)
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and sales techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Pay : $17/hour + commission + tips!
Commission is on a tiered structure, with realistic and achievable sales goals. The more you sell the better you do! At a busy market, many of our staff typically make 25$-45$ per hour, when commission and tips are factored in (again, based on your drive, focus, and charisma)!
We do 10 farmers markets a week Tuesday - Sunday. Please be available to work weekends. We are very flexible with your schedule and are hiring for someone available between 2-5 days per week.
