Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Landscape Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and job-costing of landscape materials, equipment, and supplies to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
Responsibilities:
Vendor Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Source and purchase a wide range of landscape materials, including plants, trees, soil, mulch, hardscape materials, and equipment.
- Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure timely delivery of materials to job sites.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and advancements in landscape materials and technologies. (Annual Conferences)
Job Costing Management
- Manage Purchase Orders in Aspire (Correct Items, Correct Jobs)
- Analyze job costing data to assess project profitability, identify areas for cost savings, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Keep item list updated.
- Keep Aspire Month End reports accurate and up to date.
- Monitor Estimated vs Actual items purchased
- Assist with monthly closing of books
Construction Dept Purchasing Mgmt.
- Complete from start to approval the irrigation landscape submittals.
- Maintain construction job folders
- Assist department VPs with securing and documenting subcontractors
- Assist construction department with Accurate job setup, job costing and reporting in Aspire.
- Attend department staff meetings and report and purchasing related issues.
Requirements:
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the landscaping or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Knowledge of landscaping materials, plants, and equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with job costing principles and experience in tracking and analyzing costs related to landscaping projects.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, horticulture, or a related field (preferred).

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
