Automotive Assembly / Hydraulic Technician
Responsibilities:
- Reading paperwork to ascertain materials and process for assembling product.
- Plan assembly procedures, following specifications and using advanced layout skills.
- Align components and bolt, screw, or weld them together.
- Install moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and work them to test free movement.
- Attach and connect all components, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Attach, connect and adjust all hydraulic systems as specified.
- Inspect finished product to ensure conformance to engineering or work order specifications and test or assist in testing operation of completed product.
- Assist and provide input to engineering on custom projects as needed.
Required Knowledge:
- Mechanical and/or hydraulic assembly experience using hand tools, power tools, welder and measuring tape.
- Knowledge of and experience with inspection techniques including the ability to notice minute inconsistencies/faults in parts, equipment, or production processes to prevent faulty products leaving the facility.
- Quality, accuracy, and the ability to work within a crew in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be flexible to work overtime as required to support the customer demand.
- Must be quick learner as each project is unique and requires adaptation from previous experience.
Required Education:
- Technical or Vocational schooling in the automotive industry.
- Minimum of 1 year in a related field.
- Welding Certification a plus but not necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.02 - $24.11 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
