Potential scare actors will be contacted to schedule a casting session upon application submission.
As a ValleyScare actor, you will work in one of several mazes/scare zone attractions, interacting in a frightening way to entertain guests by portraying a defined character.

Treat associates and park guests cordially and with respect, courtesy, and fairness.

Entertain guests by bringing to life the personality of a specific character through hand and body movements, and through vocal articulation.

Handle all props and equipment carefully to avoid injury to self, guests, or other associates, and to avoid damage to the prop or attraction.

Wear all safety equipment issued with designated costume.

Remain in makeup or prosthetics, or full latex face mask, for entirety of shift.

Focus attention and energy towards guests by staying in character while “on stage”.

Identify and prevent hazards to fellow associates and guests.

Comply with all departmental and park policies and procedures.

Maintain familiarity with specific personalities and traits of characters that are portrayed.

Perform job duties of a ValleyScare Blackout.

Qualifications:

Must be available Fridays and Saturdays through the end of October.

Experience in stage acting or haunted attractions preferred, but not required.
- Ability to wear heavy make-up and/or mask for entire shift.
- Ability to work in areas with strobe lighting effects.

Ability to work in areas filled with heavy artificial fog.

Ability to work with frequent loud noises.

Ability to work in very dark areas.
-
Ability to work with occasional contact with slippery/wet surfaces.
