Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Microsoft D365 Project Operations Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, customizing, and maintaining solutions within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and Project Operations environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet our clients' needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, project accounting, software development, expertise in Microsoft D365 F&O and Project Operations, and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and customize solutions within the Microsoft D365 Project Operations platform to meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Develop and implement customizations, extensions, and integrations using Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, and other relevant tools.
- Perform system configuration, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and performance of developed solutions.
- Perform within the guidelines of a Project Management environment, setting and meeting milestone deadlines and progress reporting.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Stay current with the latest technologies, best practices, and trends in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and related technologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Support the deployment and post-implementation activities, including Workflow medication programming, and advanced end user training and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred. MBA in Accounting or CPA strongly preferred.
- Heavy Data Management import/export usage in FO with large companies
- Project Modules Certification as well as GOLD Partner Experience
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience working with MS AX and D365 combined, including customization, development, and implementation.
- 10+ years’ experience working with over ten different legacy systems and have programmed in each of those legacy systems
- 9+ Cost Accounting Module
- 7+ years performing security updates for both Users, and Users Groups with System Administrator role access.
- 6+ year performing Project Accounting Configurations
- 5+ years Project Accounting experience using Project Accounting Modules, plus similar years’ experience with either API’s or third-party software integrations and application connectors.
- 5+ years advanced programming of financials using FO Management Report Writer
- 5+ years optimizing Inventory, Accounts Payable, and Account Receivable subledger configuration and reporting
- 4+ years’ experience with strong proficiency in Dynamics 365 customization and development tools, to include but not limited to Dynamics 365 SDK, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Azure.
- 4+ years’ experience with revenue recognition
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules such as Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, procurement/purchasing, and Marketing.
- Proficiency is managing, maintaining and the promotion of development pipelines including MS Updates.
- Proficiency in developing solutions using Microsoft D365 Project Operations, including configuration, customization, and extension development.
- 4+ years’ warehouse management experience to include inventory, item master, procurement category mappings, cost control setup and configuration, with strong knowledge of pricing, price adjustments, credit memos and free text invoicing.
- Proficiency is Microsoft Dual Write mapping and configuration between Dynamics D365 Project Operations and Finance & Operations
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
- Experience with integration technologies and techniques, including RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, and XML.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in Dynamics 365 implementations and post Go-Live support issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present to Executive Management on important topics like; project updates including hurdles, project due date timelines, rollout schedules, and completion dates.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications such as MB-200, MB-400, MB-500, or equivalent certifications are a plus.
- 2+ years’ experience as a Sr Finance Director working on ERP system and Report Building with heavy finance background, experience and problem solving
- 2+ years’ experience with multi-currency
- 2+ years’ experience with GAAP, IFRS and Regulatory Accounting
