We're seeking a passionate and experienced Water Resource Engineer to join our Dallas, TX team. Key Responsibilities:
- Dive into hydrological and hydraulic analyses to assess water availability, flow rates, and flood risks with precision and expertise.
- Design innovative water resource management plans, including stormwater management systems, water distribution networks, and flood control structures that enhance community resilience.
- Design, analysis, and receive permitting for stormwater management facilities (peak flow rate detention and water quality)
- Delineate drainage areas and use AutoCAD to develop drainage area maps
- Complete Hydrograph routing, HydraFlow, Riverine Modeling, FEMA Flood Studies, CLOMR/LOMR letters, and No-Rise certifications
- Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, integrating environmental considerations seamlessly into every project to ensure sustainable outcomes.
- Craft compelling technical reports, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments that set the standard for excellence.
- Harness the power of GIS and other software tools for data analysis, modeling, and visualization to inform decision-making and drive project success.
- Navigate regulatory requirements with finesse, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide hands-on technical support during the construction phase of water resource projects, ensuring quality and adherence to design specifications.
- Stay ahead of the curve with advancements in water resource engineering, contributing your expertise to the development of innovative solutions.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members, fostering collaboration and ensuring project objectives are met on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- On trach or already an EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Three or more years of experience in water resource engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and water resource management principles.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS) and other relevant tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Experience working with regulatory agencies and permitting processes is a plus.
