Stock Manager
Reports To: Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager
Supervises: Stock Associates
-The Receiving Manager, coordinating with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager, is responsible for the day- to-day operations of the stock room.
-The Receiving Manager directs the merchandise handling processes, provides on the job training, and supervises the daily activities of stock associates. -The Receiving Manager is responsible for overall stockroom organization,
oversees replenishment process, provides management with feedback regarding staff performance, and maintains a neat, clean, organized, and safe environment.
-The Receiving Manager is a role model and leader. He or She must have the ability to make informative decisions, and solve problems in a critical and diligent manner.
Responsibilities/Duties
-Manages all stock room operations and personnel. -Receives, processes, handles, and back stocks incoming merchandise and supplies to Tyler’s procedures and standards.
-Ensures all documentation is accurate, organized, and complete.
-Maintains an organized list of inventory that is absent from Tyler’s inventory management program during the time of receiving.
-Communicates issues with the buying office that occur during receiving.
-Assists with recruitment and hiring of qualified applicants.
-Orients, trains, coaches, and develops stock associates in execution of daily tasks.
-Plans, executes, and supervises projects in the stock room.
-Oversees compliance of stock associates with established company policies and standards.
-Keeps stock associates on task with the daily duties.
-Ensures safekeeping of all Tyler’s property.
-Maintains stock room appearance and product organization to company standards.
-Communicates with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in arranging and organizing new and older merchandise in the stock room.
-Responsible for stock room goals, cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management.
-Ensure that merchandise is stored, handled, and displayed in accordance with Tyler’s policies, strategies, and procedures.
-Works with management team and stock associates to keep assigned department back stock organized.
-Coordinates incoming and outgoing transfers.
-Ensures that stock balances and markdowns are accurately completed in a timely manner.
-Provides support to stock associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
-Leads and directs the work of others.
-Handles inventory discrepancies as soon as possible.
-Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise.
-Keeps the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager well informed of activities and significant issues.
-Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
-Job functions include stock associate duties.

-Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.
Requirements
-Available to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
-Must have at least 1-2 years of stock or warehouse management experience.
-Be familiar with basic functions of computers and technology.
-Ability to lift 50lbs above chest.
-Must be detail oriented and highly observant.
-Self-motivator with strong interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-- through skills.
-Efficient and a solution-based thinker are of the highest regard.
-Desirable qualities should include being competitive, passion for retail as a career, a committed and positive attitude, leadership abilities, and are able to motivate a team.
