Maintenance Technician
- Hiring for 2nd and 3rd shifts (M-F)
- $35-$40/hr
Key Responsibilities:
- Makes repairs, modifications, installations, testing, and calibration of assemblies and systems on the manufacturing floor.
- Installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and improves the efficacy of production machines.
- Discusses malfunctions and machine operation variations with operators, supervisors, and other maintenance team members to diagnose problems and repair machines.
- Participates in electrical, electronic, mechanical, and instrumentation trouble shooting.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment, examines defective parts to detect imperfections and install new or repaired parts.
- Troubleshoots and repairs bearings, seals, hydraulics, pneumatics, and clutches.
- Performs preventative maintenance and calibration using applicable SOP and work instructions.
- Works in a safe manner and proactively addresses safety issues.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree or equivalent preferred from a two-year college or technical school but may possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Must be able to read and write ladder logic
- Demonstrates ability to operate machines, hand-tools and electrical equipment.
- Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, diagrams, work orders including schematics, print symbols, structure, and flow of print.
- Possesses experience with drives, including install and setups.
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.
- Possesses basic troubleshooting experience and proven skills in machine repair, gear boxes, and a variety of pumps
- Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Welding, machining and fabrication experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
