Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document patient's condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records using electronic health record systems like Epic
- Adhere to all Clinic policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of {location}
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center setting
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems like Epic
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ability to interpret physician orders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of workers compensation laws and regulations related to nursing practice
Skills:
- Experience in medication administration, including IV medications and injections
- Knowledge of gastric lavage procedures for emergency treatment purposes
- Familiarity with ambulatory surgery center operations and protocols
- Ability to collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
