Overall Objective: To efficiently and accurately fill orders to insure the timely repair of Navajo Express equipment being repaired in the Denver facility.
Working Relationship: Reports to the Shop Supervisor
Reports Generated: Inventory control reports
Responsibilities:
· Maintain adequate inventory levels for commonly used parts and supplies
· Conduct regular inventory cycle counts to insure accurate availability of parts and supplies
· Fill request for parts orders from tractor and trailer mechanics in a timely manner, report any delays in receiving parts or supplies immediately
· Monitor requests for parts and report to management any irregularities or unusual trends for investigation
· Establish and maintain a working relationship with local and national vendors to insure best possible service and pricing
Education: High School or equivalent
Training or Skills Needed: A better than average working understanding of parts and supplies commonly used on diesel engines, tractors and trailers. Trade or Tech School training is a plus
Summary: The parts room attendant is the first line of defense in the timely repair of any piece of equipment. The ability to supply the part or supplies to the mechanic in a timely manner means the truck or trailer is back on the road with limited downtime and lost revenue to Navajo Express.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
