Job Description
The Registered Nurse supports the interventional radiologist, technologist and patient with the highest level of healthcare possible. This position is responsible to monitor, sedate, chart, recover and evaluate patients before, during and after procedures. This position manages individualized, goal-directed nursing care through use of specialized knowledge and skills in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. This position serves as an educator while maintaining standards of professional nursing practice. This position provides care and monitoring to patients within the imaging Departments.
Responsibilities

Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to ensure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team, to ensure total quality care.

Manage complex clinical situations and anticipate pending complications for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Evaluates problems, care provided and ensures that patient's responses are re-assessed to meet patient and family needs to assure overall quality of care delivered.

Possesses and utilizes proper sterile technique and isolation procedures when appropriate.

Assists in the administration and administers various medications under the direction of a physician.

Displays superior interpersonal skills with patients and peers.

Must be available for on call status, as needed, after normal operating hours.

Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure.

Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.

May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters
Qualifications
Education

Associate degree, bachelor's degree or Technical Degree in Nursing
Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nurse -Florida Required
-
BLS American Heart Association Required
-
NIH Required
-
ACLS American Heart Association Required within one year
Experience

2 years' Experience in Acute Care Required
