We are seeking a skilled 5th Axis GibbsCAM Programmer to join our team. GibbsCAM CAD/CAM software is a state-of-the-art, PC-based computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) system for programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) ...As a Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software programs that meet the needs of our organization. An employee in this classification may perform any of the following duties. However, these examples do not include all the specific tasks which an employee in this classification may be expected to perform.
Responsibilities:
- Creates CAM programs for CNC Mill composite material, SST, Aluminum, titanium and plastics.
- Works closely with the CNC Mill Operators and Production Supervisor to ensure that specific requirements are met when job involves a non-standard milling procedure.
- Monitors CAM process to ensure accuracy, consistency and quality in design process, correcting any problems as they arise.
Secondary Functions:
- Performs some CAD operations in conjunction with CAM programming.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and at least 5 years of experience with CAM and 2+ years of related machine experience, or any combination of education and experience which would provide the applicant with the desired skills.
- Ability to set up 5 axis machines.
- Experience with MasterCAM is required. Experience with GIbbsCAM is a huge plus.
- Knowledge of principles, practices and methodologies as related to CAM Programming, CAD, and machining.
- Knowledge of and ability to effectively use Windows, Microsoft OS and Virtual Gibbs or MasterCAM software.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
