Comprehensive Equipment Management Corporation is looking for a qualified Biomedical / Clinical Engineering service technician to work in a clinical setting providing planned and corrective maintenance on electronic medical devices. Position is in Brooklyn metro area at multiple levels of expertise and experience. All applicants must pass an employment eligibility check and drug testing upon consideration. *Qualifications for Positions
BMET I & II-
1. Education - Completed or enrolled in a formalized electronics training or Biomedical Eng. degree program. A thorough knowledge and comprehensive experience in techniques, theories and characteristics of electronics and electricity in conjunction with anatomy, optics, pneumatics, mechanics and hospital procedures. (medical device specific training to be provided)
Experience with medical device repair and/or in the biomedical engineering field is a plus. CEMC will provide on the job training. Experience in repair of other electrical/mechanical devices in other industries may be applicable.
1-2 years as a Biomedical Repair Technician may be accepted in lieu of formal education and/or experience electronics and device repair.
The person hired must be able to conduct themselves in a professional manner for a clinical/healthcare environment (to include compliance with hospital staff policies and procedures) as well as communicate effectively for department functions.
