Environmental Staff
An Indianapolis-based environmental consulting and engineering firm is seeking an Environmental Staff to join their growing team. Accreditation as a Professional Engineer (PE), Licensed Professional Geologist (LPG), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) is not required for this position, but willingness to work towards accreditation is recommended.
Environmental Staff Responsibilities
- Collaboration with staff, but ability to work on your own;
- Pilot/slug test (pump, AS, SVE, high vac., bio) data collection;
- File review and documentation (local and state);
- Travel to, and work performed at, various job site locations throughout the Midwest region;
- Oversight of construction activities including earthwork, dewatering, pile installation, excavation support installation, and load tests;
- Oversight of excavation activities (contaminated soil and/or underground storage tanks);
- Oversight of subsurface investigations (e.g. drilling test borings and well installations);
- Oversight of subcontractors performing services at project locations;
- Oversight of subsurface investigations and materials testing;
- Installation and O&M of remediation systems (SVE, AS, GWPT);
- Write and report preparation for submittal to regulatory agencies and/or clients; and
- Coordination of proper waste treatment and disposal
- Environmental Staff Requirements
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geological Science with at least 2 years of direct environmental experience or 8 years of related professional experience.
- Must be willing to work toward an Accreditation as a Professional Engineer (PE), Licensed Professional Geologist (LPG), or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM).
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
- Must have a good driving record.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
