Overview
Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP, a dynamic, mid-sized Firm located in the heart of San Francisco's financial district, is seeking a full-time Attorney Professional Development and Recruiting Coordinator to join its Attorney Recruiting department.
The current annual salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. The salary offered will be based on a number of factors, including the specific qualifications of the applicant, years of related experience, education, applicable licenses and certifications, and the geographical location from which the applicant will perform the job.
Recruiting Responsibilities:

Work closely with Manager of Legal Recruitment to implement effective recruiting strategies and maintain recruiting records, including candidate application materials

Schedule and execute applicant interviews as needed

Manage due diligence process for attorney and summer clerkship hires to ensure conflicts and reference checks are completed promptly

Act as point person for all attorney onboarding, including new hire communications, collaborating with internal departments, completing and maintaining new hire paperwork, and other administrative functions related to new attorney hiring

Responsible for the creation, development, scheduling, and execution of new attorney orientation schedules; provide ongoing support to new hires during their orientation week and integration period

Assist with administrative tasks for preparation and execution of our summer clerkship program; coordinate with Manager of Legal Recruitment to attend meetings, events, interviews, and other department-led programming

Assist new attorneys with registration/change of address notices to the State Bar, BASF, and the American Bar Association

Provide support for Firmwide projects as assigned by the Manager of Legal Recruitment related to attorney recruiting and hiring

Update a variety of tracking documents relating to attorney statistics and data
Professional Development Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of MCLE management, including tracking of internal and external MCLE programs utilizing our CLE database, CE Manager, and maintaining our provider compliance with the California State Bar

Assist with all aspects of attorney evaluation and review process, including data collection, preparing materials, and coordinating review meetings

Assist Director of Legal Talent with developing and creating attorney development initiatives, as well as training and mentoring programs

Provide support and assistance with DE&I communications, programming, and events

Assist with calendaring, programming, and events, including team meetings, professional development programming/trainings, and other committee meetings relating to professional development initiatives

Responsible for maintaining general attorney records and responding to requests for attorney rosters

Provide support for Firmwide projects as assigned by the Director of Talent related to attorney professional development and training

Experience and Education Required

Minimum of 2 years of attorney recruiting, attorney development, or professional services experience

Four-year college degree is preferred

Knowledge of California MCLE requirements and experience with Micron/CE Manager is highly desired
Knowledge and Abilities Required

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Superior technical skills and the ability to consider and analyze data and how it can be best utilized for the Firm’s talent development efforts

Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent follow-up skills in a fast-paced environment

Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative; flexible and adaptable to evolving priorities and deadlines.

Candidates should be proactive and comfortable dealing with a variety of internal departments across the Firm.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and video conferencing systems is preferred

Normal office environment and, as needed, the ability to work from home.
