The focus of Marketing and Business Development Specialist is to provide strategic insights and tactical execution of initiatives, projects, creative services, activities and processes that support the business development and marketing strategies for the firm.
This is a highly-visibly, hands-on and results-oriented position, offering close collaboration with senior leaders of the firm in pursuing revenue generating opportunities, deepening client relationships, coordinating/preparing client pitches, supporting attorney marketing and building profiles.
Responsibilities include:
Marketing
- Create and regularly update pitch materials, brochures, presentations, newsletters, website content and other marketing collateral, with a focus on value and client benefit
- Support the development of event presentations
- Create and measure the effectiveness of marketing including social media platforms, and in partnership with the Marketing Intern
- Work with attorneys to help them develop new business, expand existing relationships and drive demand
- Produce and manage webinars and other marketing-oriented events and activities
- Recommend, direct, and support traditional marketing activities that position the firm to win work from desired clients
Business Development
- Conduct client research to aid in the pursuit of business development efforts
- Able to set priorities, manage projects, delegate, and serve as a mentor in an effective manner
- Periodically review and consult with attorneys regarding their bios, practice descriptions and mailing lists to ensure that they are kept current
- Serve as a catalyst to encourage and support attorneys to engage clients, sell and cross-sell firm services to generate revenue
- Read industry, legal, and business publications to remain aware of trends that may impact the practice groups and to identify business development and promotional opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet firm goals and objectives
