We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Director who will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of building maintenance, renovations, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a background in project management within the construction industry and possess a strong technical understanding of building systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all facility operations, ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment.
- Plan and execute building maintenance and improvement projects.
- Determine whether projects should be completed by facility employees or contracted.
- Coordinate with contractors and supervise construction to ensure quality and adherence to plans.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules, work plans, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage emergency response or crisis management activities.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to requests and concerns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Utilize technology effectively to enhance facility management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years in project management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Licensed as a plumber, electrician, or HVAC technician. A general contractor’s license is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan work schedules in advance.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, focus on details, and work diligently.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to manage expectations and not overcommit.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Experience in facilities management or a similar role and project management.
