Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our team! As a Clinical Supervisor, you will oversee a team of practitioners and assist with their patient caseload and treatment plans, as well as oversee your own patients. In addition, you will be responsible for meeting with staff, addressing concerns, and helping conduct training and development of existing and new staff members. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of DSM-V-TR, patient care, managing caseloads, and strong interpersonal skills to manage a team. This position is a Mon-Fri or Sat. The schedule can be flexible, and the Clinical Supervisor will report directly to the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly individual supervision, monthly group supervision, and monthly high-risk meetings.
- Oversee and facilitate training and development of new and existing staff
- Ensures that services are provided in compliance with DOHMH, OMH, NYS Medicaid, and Department of Health regulatory requirements, as well as GTR’s rigorous policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide strong leadership and guidance to staff in regards to scheduling and treatment plans
- Ensure providers provide continuity of services for clients, as well as collaborate with other social service agencies to provide wraparound services.
- Evaluate and diagnose patients, as well as evaluate clinicians ability, and assign high-risk cases where appropriate.
- Review intake documentation for newly admitted clients.
- Oversee individual, collateral, and group substance use, and harm reduction/recovery counseling.
- Quarterly review of policies and procedures and make changes.
- Conduct utilization reviews and quality assurance checks.
- Ability to prepare statistical reports in compliance with OMH regulations.
- Provide after-hour emergency coverage as needed.
- Program operations and clinical administrative duties as needed.
- Provide psychotherapy to an assigned caseload.
- Attend community outreach events and advertise program.
- Special projects as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Clinical Supervisor is desired.
- Licensed: LCSW, PsyD, or MD by the state of New York.
- At least 5 years post master’s experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep understanding of health care policies and regulations
- Demonstratable ability to manage others, including handling scheduling and problem-solving.
- Exceptional understanding and application of evidence-based practice models of treatment (i.e. MI, CBT, CRAFFT, TF-CBT, EMDR, etc.).
