Apprentice Electroplating Technicians
Penn United Technologies, Inc. is hiring immediately for full-time Apprentice Electroplating Technicians to work at our rapidly growing Plating facility. If you are interested in starting a career that offers on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to advance as your skills do, then a career in Electroplating could be for you. This position starts at $18.00/hour and requires the ability to regularly rotate daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts with a 10% shift differential OR be able to work a steady afternoon or a steady midnight shift with a 15% shift differential. Responsibilities:

Work on the plating shop floor in order to learn required job tasks

Required attendance in our in-house apprenticeship classes (paid your hourly rate while attending classes -held on site one afternoon per week typically from 2:00-4:00 pm)

Manage the activities of the plating parts, including setup and maintenance of the lines, plating and inspection of the parts, and the preparation of parts for shipping

Strive to keep setup and maintenance time to a minimum

Maintain job tracking system

Ensure that chemical inventories are adequately maintained at all times and that orders are properly filed

Follow all safety and quality plans

Study the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectively

Rotate, on a weekly basis, from daylight, afternoon and midnight shifts OR work a steady afternoon or a steady midnight shift
Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent

Technical, mechanical and math ability

Attention to detail and ability to prioritize

Able to work as part of a team

Able to work daylight, afternoon, and midnight rotating shifts OR prefer to work a steady, non-rotating afternoon or a steady non-rotating midnight shift

Able to lift 50 lbs., and stand and walk for 8 hours
