Position Overview
Responsible for developing and executing the partnership sales strategy in line with business objectives and departmental goals. Delivers a best-in-class partnership sales experience resulting in long term revenue growth and profits. Leads, mentors and manages a high-performing corporate sales team.
Essential Functions: include the following

Works with the Chief Revenue Officer and other key stakeholders to develop and implement a strategic plan to drive corporate partnership sales revenue and expand the partnership base for American Airlines Center.

Leads, motivates, and manages a team of corporate sales and service professionals to ensure they meet or exceed sales targets, this includes working on sales funnels and assisting with the sales and contract process.

Identifies business opportunities, new tools or other methods to close new corporate partnerships as a department.

Creates and maintains comprehensive reporting documents to track new revenue pipeline to present to senior leadership, ownership and key stakeholders on a weekly/monthly basis.

Oversees the negotiation of major contracts with strategic clients and partners, ensuring favorable terms that support the company's goals.

Oversees the development of new integrated corporate partnerships to accomplish individual and departmental sales goals. This also includes working alongside Mavs and Stars corporate sales teams and selling suite lease and premium seating products when applicable.

Maintains a high level of knowledge of all clients and works toward integrating, aligning and executing the corporate partnership team sales goals.

Establishes and maintains key customer relationships while identifying and securing opportunities for new partnerships.

Represents the company at high-end networking events and sports conferences to develop and maintain contact with potential clients and partners.

Establishes a team culture that promotes overachievement and exceeds revenue goals.

Analyzes market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify partnership opportunities and make informed decisions.

Other duties as assigned by the Chief Revenue Officer.
Education/Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales or Marketing Communications is required.

Must have 10 plus years of professional sponsorship experience in a high-performance sales environment with a proven track record of delivering high value deals; sports, entertainment and/or arena industry experience is preferred.

Must possess high level business relationships to expand business interests.

Must have at least 7 plus years of VP experience managing and leading a successful team of corporate sales and service professionals.

Must be dynamic, forward-thinking, extremely analytical and well organized.

Strong natural selling skills with proven experience in pitch and strategic positioning.

Strong strategic thinking and planning skills.

Proven track record and aptitude for developing and implementing strategies.

Must be able to produce results and be bottom-line oriented.

Strong and effective negotiator comfortable in both complex negotiations as well as sophisticated business situations.

Very familiar with SportsDigita, Microsoft Excel in formulation of sales presentations, charts and reports.

Strong skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and market graphics pertaining to advertising and website usage.

Flexible to work all shifts in a 24/7 facility; including weekends, evenings and holidays.
