Job Summary: Physician Assistant provide medical, surgical and /or cosmetic medical care to ensure the highest standard of patient care is provided independently, under the supervision of a board certified dermatologist.
What you'll do:
- Conduct thorough dermatological assessments, including patient history and skin examinations
- Order and interpret diagnostics tests to diagnose skin conditions under direct supervision of a board-certified dermatologist (supervising physician)
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with dermatological disorders, such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous cell Carcinoma, Malignant Melanoma and many more diagnosis
- Perform Dermatological procedures, including biopsies, Excisions, Cryotherapy and lasers
- Provide patient education on skin health, sun protection and skincare routines
- Adheres to Medical Board requirements for supervision
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Responsibilities for Maintaining Role:
- Maintains open communication with supervisor and team.
- Adheres to Compliance program. Safeguard PHI and financial information, utilizing HIPPA confidentiality, privacy and security stands and policies.
- Maintains PA or NP licensure and certifications with CME annual requirements.
- Maintains skills and scientific knowledge consistent with expert practices in Dermatology.
- Maintains OSHA and other companies standards throughput the organization including the lab.
Performance Requirements, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in Dermatology required
- Successful completion of a registered Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner education program
- Board Certified and current unrestricted state PA or NP license is required
- Ability to work with Electronic Health Record and other related E-Systems
- Works efficiently and conscientiously in a fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability to work autonomously
