Traffic Safety Engineer
McClure is seeking a Traffic Safety Engineer to join our newly established East Region Transportation team. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with industry experts on a variety of high-visibility and critical projects, including Intersection Control Evaluations (ICE), Road Safety Audits (RSA), and comprehensive safety analysis to design facilities for all users. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor with all team members
- Ability to manage a fair workload by staying focused and managing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and helping the team produce a quality product
- Strong knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D) and other Engineering/Technical skills
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office

- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Educational and/or Experience Requirements:
- All experience levels will be considered
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience performing safety alternatives analysis, crash data analysis and development of crash countermeasures
- Experience related to capacity analyses, concept development, traffic modeling, traffic impact analyses, and traffic signal design and timing studies
- Experience overseeing traffic data collection, trip generation, and traffic analysis activities
- Proficiency using AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
- Proficiency using Synchro & SimTraffic
- Experience using traffic modeling software such as PTV Vissim a plus
- Experience developing junior staff a plus
- Experience with MassDOT and/or MA municipal clients a plus
