JOB REsponsibilities:
Distinctive Marble & Granite is seeking a motivated and experienced Outside Sales / Business Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. This role is crucial for driving business growth through the acquisition of new clients including builders, remodelers, designers, contractors, and kitchen and bath dealers. Additionally, the representative will be responsible for servicing and maintaining relationships with our existing Big Box Accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the construction and renovation sectors, focusing on builders, remodelers, designers, contractors, and kitchen and bath dealers.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by providing superior customer service and support.
- Manage and service existing Big Box Accounts, ensuring satisfaction, responding to queries, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and networking events to enhance business development efforts.
- Coordinate with the internal teams (e.g., customer service, project management) to ensure client needs are met and projects are delivered on time.
- Prepare regular sales reports showcasing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an outside sales representative, ideally within the construction, design, or related industry.
- Strong ability to develop new business and effectively manage customer relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Design experience preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
