Position: Talent Acquisition Coordinator
Definition:
Under general supervision, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for coordinating onboarding recruitment and actively assists in coordination of recruitment activities for positions that are largely unique to the hospital, clinical, licensed and other healthcare staff.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitates and leads the entire onboarding & new hire orientation process for new employees & contractors.
- In conjunction with the Employee Health works to ensure completion of all new hire pre-employment requirements.
- Reviews and makes recommendations for improving employee orientation process and implements recommendations upon approval from management.
- Assists with various recruitment processes, including the development and posting of recruitment announcements and other related documents, reviews and screens employment applications and determines eligibility.
- Proactively sources candidates from internal ATS, Monster, etc.
- Schedules and facilitates candidate interviews.
- Identifies and attracts quality candidates by participating in campus recruiting, career fairs, on-line job fairs, community network events, and social media.
- Researches, recommends and implements recruiting & onboarding processes and programs to support “employer of choice” vision.
Additional Duties:
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
Employment Standards:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in human resource management, business administration, public administration or a closely related field preferred, AND;
- One (1) year of experience in a substantially similar role, OR;
- Equivalent combination education/experience.
- Society for Human Resources (SHRM) or Human Resources Institute (HRI) designated certification is desirable.
Knowledge of:
- Principles and practices in staffing and recruiting healthcare professionals, including nurse and physician requirements
- Job specifications and benefits to provide candidates with accurate information.
Ability to:
- Match candidate experience, knowledge and education to the needs of the Hospital recruiting efforts.
- Work with the Human Resources Manager as appropriate to assist with marketing of positions.
- Write, compose and edit recruiting advertisements.
- Analyze, prepare and present data in familiar formats, using statistics to illustrate points and justify decisions.
