Summary: Assist in the day to day operations of the high school office as needed and directed by administration.

● Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. ● Two years previous clerical experience in office setting. ● Ability to multi-task and perform clerical duties such as filing, typing, copying, maintaining routine records, and answering the phone. Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment and computer software programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. ● Ability to apply correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, use fractions, ratios and percentages. ● Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with employees at all levels in the organization as well as with people outside the organization. ● Proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others including students at age level of position and present a professional appearance. ● Ability to maintain confidentiality, understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations related to students and staff and maintain confidentiality. ● Must have the ability and proven record of reporting to work on a regular and punctual basis.
DUTIES: Essential functions may include but are not limited to the following: ● Promote a positive image of the Farmington Area Public Schools and FHS. ● Perform clerical duties such as acting as building receptionist, typing correspondence, and other items, answering phones and distributes messages, directing calls and greets and directs visitors to appropriate parties, responding to telephone, voice mail and e-mail communication as needed, filing, copying, processing mail, scheduling appointments, and organizing department information. ● Update and record general data on each student as needed. ● Assist nurse’s office when needed. ● Perform special projects as directed. ● Add information to building website, monitors, and exterior marquees as directed. ● Prepare various correspondence and reports as directed. ● Maintain records and files as needed for the work you do. Other duties as assigned may include but are not limited to the following: ● Sort and distribute building mail and deliveries. ● Support building wide testing ● Assist with summer mailing and back to school schedule pick up ● Coordinate special events: o Graduation o Distinguished Scholars Dinner o Senior Awards Ceremony o Academics Award Ceremony. ● Maintain record of fines and obligations. ● Assist counselor administrative assistant. ● Other needs that arise. Specific primary role responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Attendance: Primarily reports to Assistant Principals ● Answer phones and records daily student attendance information in student data system. ● Support Assistant Principal with testing as directed. activities/athletic secretary and supervisor. ● Take direction from and work cooperatively with athletics administrative assistant in facility scheduling operation.

Pay: $24.72 - $24.97 per hour
