Role: Automation Engineer (Contractor)
Duration: 12 Months+
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth (Hybrid)
Rate: $85-$100ph DOE
A leading FMCG organization are seeking a contractor to provide Electrical & Automation support to the factory engineering team. You will be responsible for supporting OMP activities to reduce unplanned stops, machinery safety, automation projects and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in Capital Investments projects in the factory.
- Participate in the implementation of engineering tools at site level.
- Ensure Electrical & Automation installations comply with factory / market safety, health, environment, product safety and product quality standards.
- Ensures that the key Electrical & Automation documentation is in place, up to date and routinely governed.
- Assist with in root-cause analysis, implementing robust countermeasures.
- Coach and mentor the maintenance team members to develop their PLC and electrical capabilities.
To be successful in this key role you will need:
- Previous experience working in a FMCG setting.
- Electrical and/or Automation engineering degree or equivalent
- Experience required in Electricity, Process Control, Instrumentation and PLC/HMI programming.
- Experience on PLC systems, ideally Rockwell.
- Experience in SCADA Systems, IO servers, HMI, Historians would be advantageous.

Pay: $85.00 - $100.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
