Associated Grocers of New England is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition/HR Coordinator for an in-office, hourly, entry-level position that offers a unique opportunity to develop a broad skill set in HR and talent acquisition while making an impact on our organization.
As a Talent Acquisition/HR Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the full recruitment cycle for both Union and Non-Union employees. Your tasks will include posting job openings, managing job boards, scheduling and conducting interviews, issuing offer letters, and coordinating post-offer requirements such as drug tests, physicals, and background checks. Additionally, you will conduct exit interviews, track terminations, and ensure our Applicant Tracking System is accurate and up-to-date.
A significant part of your role will involve enhancing our presence on recruiting sites and social media to attract top talent cost-effectively. You'll also manage onboarding, new hire orientation, and related communications and documentation.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with trade schools, high schools, colleges, agencies, and other recruiting channels will be key. You will participate in job fairs and recruiting campaigns, stay informed about industry and recruiting trends, and ensure compliance with federal and state hiring laws.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Associate's degree in HR or a related field, or 1-3 years of recruiting experience.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and high energy level.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- Strict confidentiality and discretion in delicate situations.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and recruiting sites/social media.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Working knowledge of HRIS, preferably UKG.
- Basic knowledge of HR procedures.
