Hawley Lane Shoes is looking for a reliable part-time entry level Data Entry Personnel to perform a variety of administrative tasks and support the operations team.
To succeed in this position, the candidate of choice should work equally well independently and as a team and have excellent organizational and time management skills. The individual should be competent enough to work with or without guidance.
The data entry personnel will play a crucial part in supporting the Operations Team by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within our internal systems. The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail, have a flexible schedule, and be proficient in computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel. The individual should be very trustworthy and not discuss sensitive/confidential information under their purview with anyone outside of the administrative team.
Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately input and update data in the internal system, ensuring information is current and error-free.
- Support to Operations Team: Provide crucial support to the Operations Team in managing day-to-day tasks and responsibilities.
- Order Placement: Assist in placing product orders, ensuring timely and accurate submission to suppliers.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and manage the inventory system, including regular updates, balances and reconciliations.
- Learn and understand all areas of the business, including the day-to-day operational flow of the stock department and the sales floor. This includes having practical knowledge of sales and stock duties.
- Daily help with stock duties as needed.
- Updating databases or records with new information as it becomes available.
- Correcting and modifying inaccurate files and records.
- Typing data directly and accurately.
Requirements and skills:
- 1-3 years of Data entry experience or related office experience.
- Willingness to learn and to grow with the company
- Discretion, integrity, trustworthiness, and high degree of confidentiality.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Foster excellent attitude towards teamwork and be open to constructive feedback.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn how to use office equipment such as copiers, printers, phone system etc.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are essential for this role.
- Ability to perform stock-related duties.
- Flexible Schedule: Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule to meet business needs.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly learn and navigate internal systems.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and address data discrepancies and other issues independently.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
