What we do: Campus Adventures is a before and after school program that partners with local schools to provide care on the school campus! We offer STEAM based learning in a club style environment.
To be successful as a Campus Lead, you should be passionate about education, have strong leadership skills and exceptional relationship building skills. Ultimately, an exceptional center director should be knowledgeable of Child Care Minimum Standard, demonstrate excellent problem-solving and always does what is right for children.
Campus Lead Responsibilities:
STUDENTS
· Create and maintain an engaging environment for students that is positive, educational, and fun.
· Maintain, high quality developmentally appropriate practices, by altering and enhancing curriculum to meet the need of the students.
· Implement social emotional learning concepts and positive guidance techniques.
· Complete supply orders on time, using the most cost-effective sources to ensure curriculum can effectively be completed.
FAMILIES
· Recruit and enroll new families to meet the sites enrollment goals.
· Accurately manage family billing accounts and collect fees.
· Set up meetings with parents to address behavioral concerns or student’s needs.
· Use appropriate and effective techniques to encourage community and family involvement.
· Offer exceptional customer service at all times.
CLIENT (School Staff)
· Meet with school administrators once a month to discuss performance and school needs.
· Partner with the school on upcoming school events, to create marketing plans that help you achieve your budgetary goals.
· Be solution driven. Identify meaningful and practical solutions to concerns or needs brought to you by the campus.
STAFF
· Screen, interview, and hire suitable employees and guide them though onboarding and new hire orientation.
· Observe staff teaching and classroom techniques and provide on the spot coaching and other professional development opportunities.
· Ensure that all staff represent Campus Adventures in a professional, courteous, and positive manner at all times.
· Train and coach staff on Child Care Minimum Standards
· Conduct documented counseling with staff that are not meeting performance standards.
STATE
· Maintain accurate record keeping in accordance with Child Care Minimum Standards.
· Meet and exceed all health and safety practices laid out in Child Care Minimum Standard.
· Be proficient in knowledge of Minimum Standards and use this as a guide in decision making.
· Be prepared for all licensing visits at all times.
AND OTHER DUTIES AS REQUIRED OR ASSIGNED
Center Director Requirements:
· Some college in early childhood education, recreation or related field, a CDA or a combination of education and experience
· Current Director Certificate or ability to renew
· 2+ years in Leadership
· Experience leading a team of 10+ staff
· CPR and first aid certifications.
· 3+ years proven experience working in Education or Child Care
· Background check and fingerprint required
· ProCare experience preferred.
· Sound knowledge of local, state, and federal childcare regulations.
· Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
· Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication skills.
· Detail-oriented.
· Able to conduct activities involving substantial standing, walking and moderate sitting, occasional running, stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, twisting, running and reaching on a frequent basis.
· Ability to lift up to 40 Lbs. from the floor and 25 Lbs. overhead
