Oldham County Veterinary Services is looking to fill a vet assistant/technician position. We are looking for someone who has love and compassion for animals with at least one year of customer service experience. Vet assistant/technician experience is a plus, however, no vet hospital experience is necessary, we are willing to train the right person. The applicant will be crossed trained as a vet assistant/technician with some reception training for flexibility within the hospital. Must be reliable and have a positive attitude with great team work skills! Ability to multitask is a MUST! We are looking to fill a full time position with flexible scheduling for a good work/life balance. Must be able to work some Saturdays.
The vet assistant/technician responsibilities would include:
- Checking in clients/patients
- Preparing surgeries
- Blood draws
- Running inhouse labs
- Taking radiographs
- Properly caring for and regularly checking on in hospital patients
- End of day cleaning and restocking
- Assisting the vet or other assistants/technician with pets (restraining, preparing for appointments etc.)
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs
- Learning additional skills within the practice

Work Hours would include: (based on your schedule)
- Monday-Friday 7:45am - 5:30pm
- Saturday 7:45am-12:00pm
