WilliamsRDM is looking for a STFS Assembly Lead who will lead workers in performing light mechanical assembly in a fast-paced assembly environment under the supervision of the Assembly Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the STFS Assembly Supervisor
- Plans and assigns work by priority.
- Meets production schedules and timelines resulting in meeting or exceeding departmental goals.
- Trains employees on job functions and safety requirements
- Motivates team members to accomplish department goals.
- Maintains product quality standards by making sure employees are following work instructions.
- Responsible for machine setup where applicable. Periodically runs machines and processes.
- Communicate with purchasing for any parts constraints.
- Leads by example.
- Make sure new associates are trained or being trained properly.
- Verify associates are following SOP’s.
- Perform M1 transactions related to STFS
- Verify Quality and Productivity goals are met
- Performs all assembly line functions as scheduled by STFS Supervisor
- Maintains flexibility in work schedule, i.e. must be available to work overtime, split or second shift as dictated by business necessity.
- Performs special projects as requested by the Assembly Supervisor or Director of Operations
- Must follow Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines and regulations governing workplace safety
Education & Training:
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
- Minimum 2 years leadership experience.
- Previous experience in a high speed/high volume manufacturing environment
Abilities/Traits:
- Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
- Lift and manipulate heavy objects.
- Meet schedules and timelines.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Work courteously and tactfully with customers and employees
- Will be require to be fork lift certified
- Bilingual preferable (English/Spanish)
