Position: ESY Program NurseJob description: We are seeking a positive, friendly and well-organized person with strong interpersonal skills to oversee student and staff health and wellness for the ESY (Extended School Year) Programs. The programs are at Summer Street School. Essential Functions: Care for the medical needs of students and staffProvide medical attention to students and staff with general health concerns and maintain documentation in a health logProvide first aid and emergency care in injury or illnessReceive and maintain student medical records and forms from parents/guardiansAnswer questions and inform program directors when neededSupervise and administer prescribed medication and treatmentInform teachers and staff regarding student medical issues that may affect themNotify parents of illness and accidents and fill out the appropriate accident formProvide EpiPen administration training to staffWork Schedule: July 8, 2024 through August 8, 2024Applicants will inform the administration of any planned absences and/or vacations in advance of the summer programThe daytime hours are approximately 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, with the possibility of additional hours needed (advanced notice provided)Qualifications: Candidates must be an RN/LPN with current CPR, AED and First Aid certifications Experience working in a school setting is preferredCompensation: The Program Nurse will be paid $45/hourPlease contact Nicole Hyde-Bradford and Derrick Munyon with interest.
