Bilingual (Japanese and English) Manager for the Overseas Business Development & Corporate Planning.
Job location: A fulltime on-site role at the office in New York, NY. Relocation support is available if necessary.
Please note that this is NOT a remote role. This is a 100% on-site job in Manhattan. An employer will provide relocation support if a final candidate is not currently based in New York or USA.
Our client is a well-established Japanese manufacturing company which has been doing business in the US for many years. We are currently looking for an experienced manager who is fluent in Japanese and English, and has work experience in the overseas business development and corporate planning in the manufacturing field for our client.
If your such work experience is with one of the major Japanese export and import companies (Shou-sha in Japanese), you may still be qualified, depending on the kinds of products that you have dealt with, and your work experience with M&As.

Some of the minimum qualification requirements:
- Fluent in Japanese and English.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher education. A candidate from a top-notch US or Japanese university preferred.
- The overseas business development experience.
- Corporate planning experience at a manufacturing company or one of the major Japanese trading companies (Shou-sha).
- Able to use PDF, and MS Excel, PowerPoint, and etc.
- Able to travel for business. Travel frequency: Around 1 to 2 times per quarter. Subject to change.
- Able to work overtime. At this Manager role, you will be communicating with the Japanese head office. There is a time difference between Japan and the US.
- Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting.
- A hiring company will provide a US visa support if needed.
- Able to start in a few weeks if you receive a job offer.
Compensation: $50,000 to $100,000/yr

Regular office hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (one hour lunch break between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.)
