SUMMARY:
The Senior Accountant plays an integral part in ensuring the financial health and compliance of Rolling Greens. This position offers an opportunity for growth, and to contribute to the growth and success of a small company while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
REPORTS TO: CFO
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES:
Assist CFO with accounting functions
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting by gathering relevant data, identifying trends and collaborating with department heads.
- Assist with implementing and managing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial transactions
- Help develop financial policies and procedures and identify opportunities for process and efficiency improvements and recommending solutions.
- May assist with tax compliance and audit support
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts
Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Be a Leader
- Help train and develop accounting staff members
- Act as a resource on policy, procedure and accounting principles for managers, directors, owners as well as junior staff members

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Level
- B.A in Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA certification preferred
Knowledge/Experience
- 4-6 years progressive accounting experience, preferably in a small to mid-sized company
- GAAP knowledge required
- Experience working with QuickBooks accounting software
- Knowledge and experience in retail industry helpful and preferred
- Supervisory experience helpful
