We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC technician to service and repair HVAC systems in residences and commercial establishments. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfil their requirements. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
HVAC Technician Responsibilities:
- Servicing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and equipment to meet specifications
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment
- Testing and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
- Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services
- Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
- Determining causes of operating errors and deciding how to fix the problem
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly
- Providing technical direction to clients
- Inputting daily logs and records of all maintenance functions in the system
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements
- Collaborate with sales and engineering to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
Required Certifications:
- EPA 608 Universal (Refrigeration Certification)
- OSHA 30
- 4-Hour Scaffold User and Refresher
- F60 Fire Guard
- Driver’s License in good standings
HVAC Technician Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
- 5+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating
- Strong working knowledge of boiler systems
- Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans
- Ability to work after hours occasionally
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Computer skills a strong plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
