Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. As a Special Education Teacher, you will work with students who have a wide range of learning, intellectual, emotional, and physical disabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for each student
- Provide specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Utilize various teaching methods to promote learning and skill development
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Implement behavioral therapy techniques and manage student behavior effectively
- Use learning technology to enhance educational outcomes
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Create engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
Experience:
- Experience working with students who may have autism spectrum disorder
- Proficiency in speech therapy techniques
- Strong background in special education practices
- Ability to educate and support students with diverse needs
- Familiarity with behavioral management strategies
- Knowledge of child welfare and advocacy
