The Pharmacy Intern for Genoa will work side by side with clinical pharmacists to develop programs impacting medications covered through the health insurance plans to impact the Triple Aim – better outcomes, better experience at a lower cost.
Position will work inside Genoa Pharmacies is Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor, Monroe, Jackson and locations in Detroit.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prescription Drug List Management
- Assist in evaluating medications from clinical standpoint
- Work in conjunction with communications/marketing on materials necessary to support programs. This would include consumer, customer and physician programs
- Engage with physicians/providers to encourage use of lower-cost options
- Clinical/Utilization Management programs
- Assist in evaluating medications and/or therapeutic classes being considered for clinical/utilization management programs to determine program components and clinical criteria as needed
- Assist and/or provide support for clinical projects
- Clinical initiatives
- Assist in development of other clinical initiatives such as development of educational programs, adherence, opioid management
