Position Description:
The Clinical Medical Assistant provides support to all licensed Medical Providers, including physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. The Clinical Medical Assistant triages patients, verifies patient information, and records patient data in the EMR. Additional duties may include taking of X-rays, patient history intake, chart/file preparation, and other clinical support activities that assist the Medical Providers to be efficient and effective in clinic each day. This is an onsite clinical support position, with travel between clinic locations on the Southern side of Atlanta with travel compensation.
Position Duties:

The position requires travel between several locations within the southern tier of the Atlanta Metro Area with travel compensation.

Rooms patients and prepares them to be seen by a licensed Medical Provider

Prepares patients for exams and/or treatment.

Reviews and records medical history
-
Takes and records Vital Signs
-
Administers IM injections as prescribed by the provider.

Fits and instructs patients on the proper use of DME.

Takes X-rays
-
Assists with minor procedures.

Assists in gathering Net Promoter Score participation from the patients.

Position Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent
-
Required: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or Military Medical Specialist with current credentials

Preferred: 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant

Advanced Computer Skills

X-Ray Radiation Safety Training (Company will provide training)
Position Miscellaneous:
Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Shift differential based on the mileage from your main clinic location.

Must be able to travel to other AICA clinics as needed within a specific zone.

Must be able to work flexible hours as needed.

Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Demands: Frequent sitting, standing, and walking; manipulation of documents; typing on the keyboard; limited lifting from floor to overhead of less than 1O pounds; some stooping and bending.
